I have a Celestron f/6.3 reducer/corrector that I bought used. The unit might have been disassembled in the past. I was wondering what the correct assembly of the lenses is. There are two sets of lenses, a thick and a thin one in each set. Do the thin lenses face inward to each other, or do they both face forward? Anyone who knows the correct orientation of these lenses, please help.

Thanks,

Richard Turner

My knowledge of optics stinks, but years ago Gary Hand sent me a diagram on how to put Bino objectives to use. Based on that information this is what you should shoot for. You'll notice that like most achromats the thinner lens(es) is forward or toward the scope.

Thanks, George. This is a big help to me.
