Resistance is futile! ;)

I imaging it was pretty cold getting that image?

Really like your processing of this data and how the dusty looking low luminance data came out - very nice work Robert :waytogo:.

Hi Robert, as said above a very nice capture indeed, hope you dont mind but i had a quick play with your image,i think theres more data to be bought out in the outer nebulosity, so with that in mind i had a quick go at it.

Best regards,

Thank You Terry, Tom, and Adam!!
I'm going to try to reprocess an RGB data set and use this Ha to enhance it a bit..

Tom: Not at all, it's sometimes tough to tell how far is far enough because these mono images lose quite a bit converted to 8 bit.

Looks great. I think your image has better contrast of the fine detail than Toms try, but he did bring out the dust a bit more. If it was more wide field, I think I'd,d prefer to see the dust, but closer up, I like the contrast. You may be able to get both though, using the original data.

Thank You Inverted , and Warren!! I could have used the AT66ED and the TRF2008 for a wider view, but I've been happy just getting any imaging time this year. Maybe the clear sky will return to me for some summer milky way imaging for some make-up. if I get one more shot at orion, I'll throw the OIII filter on and see what I can make.
