I posted this on the ATM/DIY forum, but thought it might fit here even better. I just posted a description of the MDF (Medium Density Fiber) RA spacer I just finished making. You can find it here. Materials (not including paint and finish) cost less than $20.

Very interesting, well done,, will surely do up something similar! MDF must be sealed very well otherwise it will swell up horrendously if it absorbs moisture.

What I need now is a G-11 DIY pier plate.

Yeah, I made sure to seal it very well, everywhere. I plan to mount this one day on a pier myself, but that's a long way off.
