If you are wanting that new telescope and live in Michigan you should just buy it now while we have all the clouds. That way there will be no new scope curse later. It looks like it will be cloudy for the next few weeks.

Now is definitely the time to give to any neglected parties/priorities in our area...

I am pretty sure the arrival of my right angle polar scope is the cause of the clouds, high winds, and thunderstorms we've had this week. !@#$%

Sheesh- don't be silly... those are only needed if it's a "wrong-angle" polar scope.

I have been going through the Sucker Blues here in Iowa,
Beautiful clear Blue Skys, until Dusk then the Clouds roll in.
sometime they wait until twilight. Occasionally I can even see a couple bright stars for a couple minutes.
This week a new twist!!! Clear at night but 5 degree Highs, and 20 below at night.. Next week it will be Windy...
I.O.W.A. is short for.... I-Otta-Went-Around.

Well we had clear sky almost all day yesterday. Even got to look at Jupiter for a little. But the clouds did come back and now this morning its snowing again.

Your fortunate to see the Sun & Jupiter. Still waiting to see past the clouds/snow. It hasn't snowed that much so far this season here-but my snow blower still has lots of gas if needed. :coldday:

We actually had a clear night in north west Indiana a couple of weekends ago, but the wind was gusting from 20-35mph.

There have been a few teasing afternoons that where fairly clear, but rhe clouds rolled in by dusk.
