This image from a frequent CN contributor in truly excellent seeing actually shows the angular edge of the polar cap - I didn't know this detail was available to amateurs . Here's the link - folks its a brilliantly clear image...

That's gorgeous. Just a little bit jealous of those Aussies...but then, we've had a nice Jupiter season!

Thanks for bringing that one to our attention, Pete--one of the best Saturn images I've seen.

I've always wondered about the possibility of seeing the polar cap with Its octagonal edges - just a passing thought - with my 8". Seeing how utter crisp Enckes would need its a flat out impossibility. Lol, that thought can keep on passing.
