Hi guys,

Here's my deepest ever shot from the Negev Desert some two weeks ago. It's my longest exposure to date, and the first full session with the Officina Stellare Veloce RH 200.

I am bringing 3 resolutions:
1158 pixels wide: http://www.pbase.com...405700/original
1600 pixels wide: http://www.pbase.com...405510/original
2000 pixels wide: http://www.pbase.com...454913/original

I've also framed a zoomed in version of the 3 central blue reflection nebulae, and named them "The Camas Lilies Nebula" - with some further explanations under that image. if you are to look at one of these - I would recommend this one to be the one (well, you can tell I like it the most).

So here it is:
http://www.pbase.com...483572/original :jump:

I hope you like them, and any comment is very welcome.

Cheers,
Harel

Nice work Harel.

Is it without Ha?

The only small thing it a green ring around the bright star. Just wondering why it's there.

Between the Powernewt and the Veloce life is sweet for me :-)
I hope you enjoy your new astrograph. Looking at your posts I'm sure this will be the case!

Excellent. I always love these images with both reflection and emmision nebula. The blue and red contrast nicely. Add a colorful star field and you have a nice touch!

Well done sir.

Harel,
Well done - this is an impressive image. This is a very deep image indeed when you consider your exposure time on the very fast Riccardi-Honders.

Thanks Mike, Jim, Dave,
I am really glad you liked it... It's a treat to use a short focal ratio on dim objects. What I also experienced here is the importance of long integration time on the color filters. It made my processing so much easier.
Cheers,
Harel

Harel, thanks for posting another very nice image.

I've decided that I will not think or talk about which astrograph to buy decision for the next 4 months, otherwise I'll go crazy, no need to torture myself, I have plenty of time... :)

In the meantime, I'll just enjoy watching your work (and others with similar astrographs, also with fast refractors) and decide when I'll have the money.

Well done!
