Here's something that I worked on from my home in Menlo Park, CA, USA (deep in suburban light pollution).
Thors Helmet NGC 2359 as seen in the backyard from January 18 to 20, 2013.
This is a stack of 83 frames of 600 seconds at 400 ISO for an integration time of nearly 14 hours. There were some significant framing errors and so I had to crop much of the edge of the field. Also, weather did not agree and many of the subs were taken through a high haze. I also processed it "upside down" from the commonly seen orientation.
This is with a Stellarvue SV4 with SSF6 flattener and IDAS LPR V2 filter with a modified & cooled Pentax K10D DSLR on Losmandy G11 Gemini 2 mount.
Guided and Calibrated using Maxim
