I have only dabbled in solar video in the past but getting more interested and thinking about picking up an H/A scope to use with the HD security cam I have - but wanting to do a bit more in white light if I can- the problem i have is that with the setting I use I always get this funky crosshatch pattern in my video and they are correctly exposed as far as I can tell- I am attaching an example- this was with st120 scope, shc-745 camer (1/2 chip) with the stock optical low pass filter in place and orion solar filter(film).
Excuse the poor quality of the image- it is a screen grab from a poor quality video to begin with- wasn't planning on recording it. - just using to show the pattern.
I was not using a reducer and no other filters.
Setting were 1/500, gain off, boosted a bit in amcap.
