About a year ago, I freed my LX50 10' from its fork mount and gave it a new home on a CGEM.

I would like to decrease some of the weight of the OTA, and was wondering if there are any weights in the rear cell behind the primary mirror that I would be able to remove?

Thanks for any feedback on this.

I don't believe so.

The Maks are known to have counterweights behind the primary but not the cats.

Yep,Thats what I was thinking.I knew about the Mak and thought just maybe they might be hiding 8 pounds of weight behind mine also.Thought it was worth asking.

Thank you Chris.
