I was able to take advantage of some good seeing. Something that been a rarity here of late! Caught Jupiter in its usual turbulant state. Thanks for looking.

Nice work, Frank. After staying up all Monday night, I didn't have the "power" to image last night. I'm glad you took advantage and got a great shot. It is starting to look better for getting some new shots. Thanks for sharing.

Great result Frank! Hope we all get some good seeing before Jupiter gets away from us.

Frank I'm glad to see you got a good Jupiter image in early February; I can't recall any Jupiter photos from the USA in the past 14 days that were captured in reasonably good seeing. That's rare because in a country this large there's usually some area that's not being pounded by the jet stream on a cloudless night.

Thanks to all for your comments! Right now Jupiter is at high alt right at sunset making it tough to get full scope cool down before imaging. Kinda surprised with the results!

I also agree...A very nice image. (definitely take that one.) Yep, Jupe's crossin the meridian just after dusk, time to image on the downside...

Cheers

Frank, Stunning image! Color, detail and smoothness are perfect. To get this kind of quality this late in the season is remarkable. Congradulations on this beauty and thanks for posting it

Steve
