They show the scope as having 200 off, but it does not reflect in the price of the scope. Any ideas if it is indeed on sale for 299.00?

699 is the regular price, so with the 200 off it is 499. Yes, the way it's listed is a bit confusing, but 499 is the sale price.

499.00 is the reg price, that is what everyone sells it for. So yes it is very confusing. I got a little excited there. I was trying to figure out a way to get one past my wife.

I work for a bank, they would end up thinking it was a bomb or something and blow it up in the parking lot. lol

Yes as far as I can tell $499. is the regular price at other dealers. But I don't see where they say $200. off.

Actually, the mythological star refractor price is $839.99 according to the 2013 Spring 2013 Explore Scientific dealer price list.

I bought mine from Canadian Telescopes last year for $420 with free shipping, an outstanding value, came with rings,carry handle, finder, a 2" carbon fibre dialectric diagonal and dovetail.It performs very well,DA. :grin:
