Does anyone know if a Gemini RS-232 serial cable (for computer control) is compatible with a Celestron cable? I'm trying to run a Celestron ASGT via computer/ascom. I have a Gemini RS-232 cable, but the mount is not connecting.

I don't think it is. Here is a comparasion of major mfgr RS232 to RJ cable ends. The Gemini uses RJ11 4P4C Celestron RJ22 (which in USA I think is also 4P4C) however the pins are differently connected as indicated in the link.

Gemini pins should be connected like this (see above link) and here (down bottom of page).

edit:

ooopppss forgot this link to gemini FAQ's.

Thanks, that's the info I needed. It does indeed look like the two cables are not compatible.
