Just opened my new ETX 90 Mak and the fork assembly was not attached to the base (showing gears, etc.). I saw nothing to screw the center bolt into. I took the bottom of the base off and tried to tighten the "nut assembly" with no luck. I sent it back for another. Anyone have this happen?

Looks like another example of the dismal quality control problems with the scopes coming out of Meade's Mexican plant. Hopefully, your replacement scope will arrive without any defects.

Have you received a replacement yet? I am curious if this was resolved.
