Detroit's copper thieves are raising havoc, darkening the city's skies:

Link doesn't seem to point to the right thing. Are you sure it is copper theives and not frustrated amature astronomers darkening the sky? :shameonyou:

Unfortunately for the copper thieves, they sometimes brighten the skies momentarily with their deaths at the hands of 13,800-volts. They are that crazy to break into a substation and try to steal copper busbars that are connected to live circuits, and end up as greasy smoke for their trouble. But they do get a consolation prize, in the form of a Darwin Award.
