Kids these days are preoccupied with a lot of techno-junk on the PC and for many, their smart phones too. Here's an app series that has it right and adds a little substance to any kids app collection...

It's called Apollo 11 MA. The MA stands for Mission Apps and its put out by Space Dream Apps. Essentially it places an Apollo 11 app icon on the phone and clicking on it gives you an immediate list of things to see regarding the A11 mission . Click on "launch" and it links you to a YouTube movie of the launch sequence. Other links bring panaromas and other vids as well as the classic color snapshots .

All in all its a little basic for any seasoned moon fan but I won't be deleting it too quickly as the launch sequence for example has always brought an irresistible sense of patriotism and pride in ones self and the country.
If you have a young one with some questions about the moon, or perhaps a budding hobbyist , this would be a fine thing to have on their phone, should they have one.

Just passing it along.
