If that is the Zeiss Asiola spotter you should have bought the first one they sold. It was much cheaper. I wonder how many more they have to sell?

That would be the Zeiss Asiola at Scope City down the street from me. Two of these sat in their showroom for years. I bought a couple when they went on sale for $499 a few years ago, but then they raised the price up to $999?. I bid $400 on the current one. Not that I needed another, but more to speak with Don and others and find out what they are doing with all their other inventory (and ask them to take their website down).

Somebody got a deal on the $350 one. I was hoping they might have a few dozen stashed away for the "going out of business" sale :foreheadslap:

I got my $23(with shipping)NIB Parks hybrid diagonal in the mail today.

Sorry to be asleep at the wheel, but did someone say Scope City is going out of business? No indication of that on their Web site, which one of the posts on this thread wishes were taken down. It's kinda sad to see even a Better Business Bureau "F" rated dealer close. Better to see it sold to better management, than to see another dealer in a small hobby close.

All I know is that the guy who sold it to me claims he bought all the parts he is selling on Ebay at an auction. However, I beleive he is or was the General Manager at LUMICON. Was LUMICON part of the Scope city chain?

Yes please. And a "first light" report would be welcome too.
I was tempted to bid on both of these Zeiss 'scopes but I couldn't find out much info on them. It sure looks cool and comes with a Zeiss EP as well, right?

Very cool. The tripod looks very much like the Telementor tripod. Nice!
