And

Look like they ought to be good Moonur & Planet cameras.

I would like to hear comparisons to the Image Source DMK cameras if anyone has compared them.

As you can see they use old CCDs (except ICX445) and are very highly priced - so dead for modern astrophotography. Some time ago few Unibrain cams were used by http://www.astronomi...rg/index_en.htm (ICX285AL camera).

Point Grey cameras have better astro-software support and better prices.

Brian,

The Greek imager George Tarsoudis uses a Unibrain camera for his work, and as you can see he has gotten some superb results:

But I'm sure even he would admit that to buy a camera new for imaging there are better choices now such as the ASI120MM or if you can afford it the Point grey grasshopper express (2.8Mp)

cheers

Mike

Thanks Mike. It was the Tarsoudis pictures which brought this camera to my attention and made me wonder why I was not finding anyone else using it. I did not know it's technology is now outdated.
