Not linked to the NexStar scopes but I hope the moderators will allow me to spread this info to my buddies in the NexStar forum.

There is a vote going on at http://www.plutorocks.com/ to try to persuade the IAU to name one of Plutos moons.

There are about 16 different names to choose from, plus some background info on the names if you are interested before voting.

At the time of posting (Friday 22nd Feb at 17:05 UT), there are just 3 days left to vote - voting closes on Mon 25th February 2013.

Thanks Mods,

I voted for Tarturus, shouldn't Vulcan be reserved for a planet?

Personally, James, I agree.

Since one moon is called Charon, I have voted for Styx as that is the river that Charon the ferryman rowed the likes of Heracles, Orpheus, Aeneas, Dante, Dionysus and Psyche across.

+1 for Styx due to the name of Charon. Vulcan is just dumb and I hope this doesn't win, reserve that for a planet with a bunch of pointed ear fellas on it.

I voted for Cerberus, also because of the name Charon.
