Been on the fence on getting a portable high power imaging scope.
the 8" sct from meade/ celestron are nice all around visual and imaging scopes at nice price.
but a dew collector.
I don't have enough prep/cooling time for synta maks.
Vixens cats like the vmc200 and vc200 answer that with lightweight open tubes, but at a price.

The latest offering from Astronomics might make me jump off the fence.
New steel open tube AT8rc for under $900. wow!

At a cost of only 2# in weight vs the Carbon tube, I think that this is a STEEL(couldn't resist..lol)
