Received a lovely Holbrook fragment and opened the display case to place it lovingly upon its waiting stand, only to have cursed case fall off the wall, my entire collection on the floor.
Counting to ten, I placed case on the dining room table and painstakingly recovered and replaced everything in their proper cubbyholes. As I placed the last one, the wretched display case tilted forward, flinging all my little darlings hither and yon! I'll replace everything tomorrow. Right now, I'm having a large Scotch.
Best to all
Joe

Ouch! I've dropped a few specimens and cases before. It's also painful to watch it drop and hope nothing is damaged. I just keep the majority of mine in a cabinet and in a few riker boxes that I can take out to show off when necessary. :)

I dropped my Brenham Pallasite, it broke into 4 pieces :(
Now I have 4 micromounts instead of one piece.

It happens.
