First RGB image with new CCD

Well here it is!! My very first RGB image using the good old QHY8L CCD. This is the California Nebula (NGC 1499) consisting of 14 300 sec subs and 7 darks @-20C. Not too bad for a first color image with the camera. Obviously it would benefit from more time and longer subs as well.

That is a VERY good start - the star colors are great!!!

Thanks everyone. I know my images are not near as good as most of the CCD users on here. I also feel kinda embarrassed posting them here. I hope to get better though. I need to extend my exposure times and get more details.

I've been waiting for clear sky's to try out my new QHY8L. I can only hope my pic's are as good. Nice picture!
