Hi All -
I have a quick question. I have changed the way I guide slightly and wanted to run a basic question by the CN community.

I want to autoguide using a lodestar connected to a QSI 683. I am using a PMX with theskyx and I use mac OS.

Using PHD, can I autoguide with the lodestar? I am slightly confused on the proper set up. Do I connect the lodestar to my computer via usb, and then run a st-4 cable from the QSI to the PMX for autoguiding (this doesnt seem right to me...)? Or do I connect the lodestar directly to the mount via the ST4 cable?

I just want to make sure that either way the mount can understand the autoguide commands given to it by my computer (running PHD on mac os).

Thanks everyone

Yes connect the ST4 on the lodestar directly to mount, and the USB on Lodestar to the computer.
In PHD make sure to select "On Camera" option in the Mount menu.
