Hi.

A little break in the clouds just long enough to do my sketch.

Oh, BTW, I know it's not the place to talk about that, but apart astronomy I'm a big fan of MS flight simulator and just for you my sketcher's friends, look a little movie I made.

That is a very nice sketch! I just started observing in solar with my first views from my new PST this week. I saw a little of what you have hear this morning, but my image is reverse from what you have. That loop you have at 2 o'clock is at 11 in my scope. I see my view is inverted as while observing yesterday I saw a airplane go across the sun upside down....LOL

Bob.

Welcome in sun observing. That is a so wonderful world. All scopes are not oriented the same way and depend also if you are looking east or west. I started sketching last august and actually your are looking at my 255th sketch of the sun.

As for myself, I'm observing with a Lunt LS152. I'm visual observer only. Here my scope mounted on the same mount as my C14.

I also own a smaller Celestron C80 (3") scope equiped with the Lunt 50mm solar filter. All three can be mounted separately.

Thank you all for theses warm comments. You see me honored by your respect. Thanks.

Michel. No, cloudy here until tuesday and I'm working dayshift for the next three days. No sun sketch possible until tuesday even if sky clear up.

I had to follow the sunspots everyday using spaceweather to understand why they are so different position from my february 26th sketch and this one. Some disappeared as other newly emerged.

Thank you Tom. You are a curious membre Tom. It would be nice to see you on a picture. You are commenting everybody's work without exception like a loyal friend but we don't hear much about you. Anyway, thanks for your support.

Wonderful, as always! :D The big sun spot on the right looks like a giant whirlpool!

Also my sincere admiration for your epical work! It's incredible how you persevere, even under such dire circumstances as Canadian winter. I don't think many would have the tenacity and passion to equal your work.

And finally also compliments from me for you set-up! :D

Andre, one thing (in addition to many other things) that I love about your sketches is how you vary the broad light and dark regions of the globe. It adds a believable 3-D effect.

BTW, you sure are brave to dress so lightly in March...
