I just put my new CPC800 together and the way they mounted the controller bracket, the controller is in the way of getting a good grip on the declination lock knob. Anyone done a work-around? Velcro to arm?

If its like a CPC 9.25 the mount for controller bracket is part of the mold for side piece, it sounds like they molded side piece wrong. I would call them and see what they say.

You're right about it being too close to the clutch knob and it looks to be way too fragile. But, once I get my scope powered up, I'm done using the clutch knobs. Skewing at the 9 speed is fast enough for me. Wait till you put it on a wedge, there really is no place to put the HC.

I guess that I'll just get used to it.

I velcro'ed a lanyard loop to mine and now hang it on a hook I crafted to fit into the molded receptacle for the controller bracket. Tossed the bracket - one less piece of plastic to worry with...

Steve - I think that's a great idea. Thanks. :jump:
