Hi all, I was wondering if there was an Alt/Az mount out on the market that can do goto and support the weight of a C11. I find my CGEM a bit too cumbersome for visual with my c11. Any suggestions?

How about the Orion Atlas Pro EQ/Alt-Az mount? Both an EQ mount and an Alt/AZ. I think it would work well with your C11.

Here are four options to consider if you want to go lighter:

The new DSV-3 alt/az "T" mount has slo-mo's, DSCs, tracking and will have push-to shortly in the future.

The Nova Hitch is an alt/az "arm" with slo-mo's,DSC's, tracking and push-to.

The T-Rex alt/az "arm" has slo-mo's, DSC and can be retro-fitted with train-n-track.

Lastly, I have used my C-11 loaded on a ASGT (CG5Goto) for several years. It is alot lighter than the CGEM and for visual only, it works well. For imaging, forget it.

Nova-Hitch sounds good. But you need to wait for months even more than a year to get one.

I waited 14 months for my Super Half-Hitch and it was never materialized. If you rush-in to pay full amount to get the introductory price like I did, you will be waiting a long time.

Waiting for long time is not a problem if it is stated up-front. But the dead line was moved like two dozen times. Absurd! :foreheadslap:

Mine works wonderfully on my C11 Edge. See my recent reports.
