How do I know if my telescope is colimated? Is it possible to check during the day?

Some people suggest that during the day point it at a bright shiny object like a chrome bumper of a car or other object that has a bright point of light and or there are some artificial stars out there but I have not used one.

There is a video here: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=hqRVIDj4aZA

There is also a guide here:

It is almost absurd to try to collimate your scope on a SHINY....something during the day.
