I'm looking at a used 314L+ OSC to go with my 314L+ mono. Does Atik cover subsequent owners, a la SBIG? I sent them an e-mail but haven't heard back yet.

Thanks

I'm not sure Terry, perhaps ask on their forums for a more direct answer?

It took a little over 24hours for mine, hopefully you don't have to wait too long!

Sorry I can't be more help, I bought mine new so the warranty is valid ( thankfully since it has to go in for repairs )

If I may ask without derailing the thread, what are you planning for the OSC version, to gather faster, ie: OSC for your RGB and the mono for L or Ha, etc...?

Hey Chris - Actually, your issue is why I'm asking. I won't buy used if their policy is like Orion's. I find trying to do HaLRGB extremely time consuming with the mono and I want to do Ha/OII/LRGB also. I don't care for the colorless stars from just narrowband so I see me doing mainly combined images. Also, I had purchased a Geoptik adapter so I can use my Nikkor glass but was put off by having to take everything apart to change filters every time.

Sorry Terry,
Perhaps for the best since you couldn't verify what you wanted. They pop up a lot both on the CN classifieds and AM.

Don't give up friend!

Take Care,
Chris

Thanks Chris. I am surprised that nobody seems to have the answer to my question though.

Edit: Still no confirmation e-mail for access to their forum

That is odd that you didn't get a confirmation, you made sure it didn't go in spam folder?

I am going to try and call Mike at OPT on Mon. I will see if maybe he knows. Can't promise anything , but I will try.

Still no forum access but I did get a response to my question. Atik will support subsequent owners.

Nice!
Glad you finally got an answer Terry! I thought the answer was yes but had no way to confirm and felt it irresponsible to answer without being 100% sure.

I'll keep watching for another good deal. Also got the forum access fixed.
