I know this question was asked sometime in the past; but does anyone have links as to where to buy a 1cm Scale Cube? I don't want ultra expensive ones!

Awesome! :)

I was just going to reply to this. I have noticed a big gap in the scale cube market.

There are very cheap (and chincy-looking) 1cm plastic colored cubes that are unmarked and many people use these as scale cubes. I'm not a fan of them, but they are very cheap - anywhere from $1 to $5.

Then we have the higher-end scale cubes made of metal, Tungsten, brass, and other materials. The looks vary, but the pricing is all about the same - $30 to $40 for a cube.

I am currently trying to locate a supplier for cubes and I will be putting the markings on them myself. I plan to offer them in the $10 price range - thus giving every collector access to a decent-looking scale cube at a low price.

I bought mine about 7 years ago, on eBay, for $25. That seller has since vanished and the black anodized-aluminum "Drake style" cubes (the one I use) are increasingly difficult to find now. I wish I had bought about 100 of them at discount when I had the chance.

Best regards,

MikeG

Thanks Mike; I did a search, and found the high priced ones. I actually like the colored ones also; just for reference of size. I simply cannot see paying $30+ for one. I'd rather have a meteorite, instead!

Thanks Helder; that's the site I visited; but didn't want to pay that much for my measly little collection. I don't have many that warrant a scale cube for photographic purposes.
