I have used Meade's electronic focuser on two SCT's for over 5 years. I found it too slow moving from coarse focus to medium focus, then fine and extra fine. This process might take over a minute to reach perfect focus. Replaced both with Starlight's Feather Touch focusers and can get in focus in a few seconds. Instead of playing with the focuser, I am now observing. That is why I bought the scopes in the first place.

If I may add onto this.

The review is showing up fully on the main page, not like the others which are just the usual small synopsis with a small photo and a link to the actual review.

Thanks for the heads up, it's fixed now.

One more benefit he didn't add is that the RigelSys driver apparently can be 'tricked' to make it appear as an absolute focuser to a focusing program. This gives you access to a greater range of software for 'autofocus'.

The hand controller works with a variety of focusers; I've used it with a 1205 Meade, a RigelSys motor, and my Moonlight DC motor.
