Good review Paul. I really like my AT8IN too. The focuser is definitely the weak spot for imaging; I think a moonlight will be in its future when I get sick of the ED80.

With the robo focus it has worked quite well but I suspect it would be much smoother with a better focuser. My big issue right now is changing computers! When I changed to a faster computer my focusmax just doesn't want to work right. I will get it to work and then the next night it goes way out of focus and gives up! I think I need to run the wizard feature again and make sure that it gets saved. I am thinking that that may be the problem that the profile isn't getting saved from one night to the next!

That was a great review. I have been eyeballing this astrograph for a while and have been thinking about either the 8" or 10" version. This review was helpful.

A friend of mine just bought the 8" F/4 At to use with his Orion DS II camera. His first images were outstanding and he is sold on it. He is even using a Celestron AS-GT mount and it works well!

Fine review. And I had long ago decided this would be my next AP scope.
