Hi all,

I've come across an unusual chance. I've got an 8" SCT OTA I can puchase, and an LX200 mount for a 10" scope too. Anyone reckon it is a plausible coupling, albeit with some tinkering?

Alex.

I'd buy them, sell the 8" OTA and look for a 10" for the mount. But, I'm sure you can mount the smaller scope with some spacers.

You're gonna have trouble getting the OTA orthogonal. If the mount is functional you might be able to swap it for an 8" mount...

Buy the SCT and buy a GEM for it seperately.

I think it'll be more trouble than its worth to mount it.

I have some LX200 8" forks you can save from the foundry.
