Thank you so much all. Very kind words from all of you.

Warren. Maybe I would look at doing a video while sketching a close up prom as it take not much than 10 minutes.

Andre.

I'd certainly be interested in seeing that. Your sketches are always a treat.

Thank you so much Tony. I'll check for that.

Nice image for comparison. Quite similar even if mine is much smaller. You don't have any pic to compare with my recent close ups ? Actually you compare with a 80X magnification, that would be nice to compare with a 300X I did three of four days ago.

Andre.

Highfnum

About coloration all depend the lightning available at the moment I digitalize my sketch with my Canon T1i. I found if I overexpose the sketch, I get a more uniform coloration. If I underexpose, I'll get more whiter areas on the surface what make the sketch less appealing. About the peach color, it also depend how I move the sliders in photoshop. I would be able to make the edges much darker but I'll loose details. I can play with every element, so it's a question of preference for myself.

An absolutely beautiful sketch.

I had my first look through a solar scope yesterday and I must say that your sketch is an unbelievable match to what I saw.
Please keep up the good work.

I'm curious if it is normal to see this many prominences or was this just a good day for my first day?

Cheers
Jim

Jim

Thank you so much for theses good words. You are very kind.

The sun high activity peak is due for may, so yes it's normal to see that much proms all around. I really glad you did your introduction to sun observing.

I'll check for that as soon the snow will be gone around my dome.
