Eleven of us, observing in the evening of March 21, 2013 all of us watching the beautiful comet Pan-Starrs.
Eleven: Michel, Jackie and John, from the association Altair83 of Flassans-sur-Issole, very talented astro-photographs, once again they made super shots.
Our Russian guests Katarina and Igor, originate from Tcheliabinsk, you remember, it is the city that received this meteorite that made the fortune of local glaziers.
Kristina and Alain, the weather today is best that this of March 18, the day of their return from Brazil, 35°C temperature drop. They still trembles.
Antoine "inventor" of Astro-Provence our local Cloudy-Nights or Astro-Quebec. The "glue" of astronomers in the region... without him, events as today would ever be solitary watches.
It remains to count Patrick, Jackie, Jannik and myself, eternal observer of a pre-digital era.
In a telescope, we see upside down, which is never a problem for observing the Moon, a star or a planet. But tonight, for the second time I had some fun sketching through my telescope eyepiece, the comet, at the bottom of my sheet, and on top, the local landscape. As for my astro-photographs friends, we have to go for final treatment. For me I have to archive this watercolour... I want it big, it will have 63cm long.
What a night! It was still one of those magic moments, one of those that create us rare souvenirs!
Michel

Michel,

You are very fortunate to have this community of interested amateur astronomers to gather with and do your things.
Beautiful watercolor souvenir.

I saw "water colour" in the title of your post and immediately had to take a look... And your impression is just LOVELY! Once more it's something to put up on a wall. I love it!!!
