The NWS radar maps all had weird creepy patterns on them. It was like the country had chicken pox.

Cloudy and humid here with weird wind changes. Probably be in the low 80's.

The satellite dish needs something, maybe a map of the moon or at least a happy face!

Ha you guys missed me. I'm in the process of swapping scopes. I thinking about doing some spectroscopy work, so I'm replacing the refractors with the 10" SCT. I got the refractors out tonight. I'll put the SCT in sometime tomorrow after I install the cradle.

Just box up those refractors and send them my way!

So I managed to get the scopes installed today. I still have a bunch of work to do. I have to aligned the scopes, finish all the electrical connections, balance the mount, reset the pier height, calculate the new scope to dome geometry, then as soon as the clouds clear perform a T-Point run.

The new setup has all the old refractors except the SV102A. Below is the new config counter clockwise from the bottom:
-Meade 10" SCT with SBIG ST-2000XM & 10 slot filter wheel
-Stellarvue 50mm Finder with Malincam
-Willams Optics Zenith Star 66 (visual only)
-GStar-EX with 2.8mm lens
-Stellarvue SV110ED with SBIG ST102ME
-Telrad
-Coronado (Pre-Meade) MaxScope 40 solar scope (visual only)

My son also re-align the camera so it is now pointed back toward the observatory.

Hey Marcus, you've got some room to add on to the deck around your Obs. A couple adirondack chairs would be nice.

You sound like my wife! She wants a deck from house that connects to the obs.

I was cutting the grass. My son was at track practice and the grass was getting long. I didn't use the trimmer. Maybe tomorrow.

I'll have to put a sad face on it as it is currently not pointed at an active bird.
