EON 120ED with a Moonlite focuser, sitting on a DSV-3 mount.

Beautiful telescope and mount. They look like they were made for each other. I bet it offers some easy and incredible views.

Thanks for the comments. I really enjoy the views through the scope. It has also woken up my interest in the Moon, which was the main target that night.

Wow, that looks stunning. I am so tempted to go down that path! Just looks like a great combination!

Seriously thinking of parking the CPC 1100HD order! :p

Beautiful. Oil spaced?

This objective looks different than other A-P objectives I've seen. I see the little round white circular "patches" along the edge of the lens similar to those on a TEC oil spaced lens.

You can see the "patches" I'm talking about on this TEC objective, too.

I've got those same "patches" on my AP175EDF and it's air spaced. Not sure what they do or why they are there.....must be part of the special magic applied during the creation process.

Yuri is an artist, a true craftsman. Amazing glass proving that oil spacing works in all climates. My AP has been subjected to similar temperatures in Gunnison with no concerns.

That's a beauty of a telescope.

I painted my Tak FS128 cell black too.. (and baked it) but then went the additional step of tapping it for TMB130/6 lens pattern : )
It simply unscrews from the tube and the lens comes right off it with three fasteners. You can see a disassembled FS128 here: http://www.pbase.com...30_construction
If I were to do it again, I'd bring the cell to a powder coater.
