Can anyone tell me if the 17 pound CGEM [not DX] cwt is the same diameter as the 11 pound AVX cwt? They both appear to have the same diameter and shape(flat surfaces) but the 17 pounder is thicker...

thanks,

Tim

Yes, the CGEM uses a 20mm counterweight shaft just like the CG-5 and all the other Vixen clones.

this I realize, but what I still don't have an answer to is: does the 17 pound CGEM cwt have the same diameter and shape as the 11 pound AVX cwt [only thicker]? thanks, Tim

Nope. The CGEM cw is bigger around.

Bottom is an 11lb CGEM top is a 11lb avx.
