Are the ETX 70s wired to allow for infinite turning on the horizontal axis without risk to wiring inside the scope getting messed up? I see there are no hard stops like the larger ETXs. Thanks

There is no danger of any internal wiring disaster. The wiring rotates with the motors, The external wiring is what you have to watch.
