Here is my M82 using the 8" Edge @ f10 from my red-zone driveway. I used the IDAS LPS, but could only get 5m exposures. That was fine because my polar alignment was off by a bit, I did the whole meridian drift align routine with the clutches on my mount open. :foreheadslap:

I thought it was fine, but there is a slight streak going through the background and Im just not happy with it. I'm reshooting darks and hopefully they will take care of that, but otherwise, I need to get to darker skies.

C's & C's welcome.

Thanks guys. I've got another image of the target slightly closer. I think I'll be reporocessing this one, but for now, here it is.

If I have a chance, I may try gathering some H-Alpha for the core. I thought I'd get more then I did, but it is dim.

What do you think about my background? Too dark?

I like the contrast just as is Adam, great shot! Your tracking looks real good for 5-min subs and you have great detail and color in their.

Well done with quite a bit of detail revealed, yet quite smooth. Great job!

Thanks again Mike!

I looked at my older images of this and my progress shows. I'm happy about that.
