Hi All,

Imaged Saturn this morning in quite reasonable seeing although much of it was interrupted by cloud so only have 1 RGB and 2 742nm IR data sets. I note the bright spot on the Southern edge of the storm remnant reported previously by Bird, have measured it in WinJUPOS to be at L3 276.8 Lat +46.4

The polar projection of the RGB defines the hexagon particularly well.

Regards
Trevor

Wonderful images, Trevor. The C-ring came out well. Whole RGB image is ripe with detail.

Trevor, wow, incredible data set! The detail on the RGB is amazing. You have been really cranking out the Saturn runs lately. I guess you can catch up on your sleep when the seeing degrades. I've unfortuneately have gotten too much sleep waiting for decent conditions. Thanks for posting your excellent work

Regards,
Steve

Wonderful images Trevor, the banding detail just gets better and better. By April 28 your observing station might as well be sitting on Saturn's doorstep!

Thanks very much Bird.

Thanks very much Michal.

Thanks very much John and just how good was your Saturn from Melbourne, reckon we are in for a corker year.

Thanks very much Paul, often the C ring suffers due to attempts to pull more detail out of the image but for sure Saturn looks more natural when the C ring is seen. I very much admire the work of Don Parker in just how well he does it.

Thanks for your very kind words Steve, reckon all the the sleep I caught up on during the Jupiter season was banked so that I could handle a nice run with Saturn.

Thanks very much Mike.

Thanks very much Pete, certainly looking forward to better seeing around opposition. As yet I have not had conditions comparable with last year when I had several runs of excellent seeing for Saturn.

Thanks very much Dan.

Thanks very much Mitch, realistic or natural was the look I was going for.

Thanks very much Frank.

Thanks very much Sam, was very impressed with the results of the testing done by Bird with your camera, it was done in such a quantitative manner and the results certainly provide food for thought.
