Working from a pirated early manuscript of the text, I am having every word, typos included, tattooed over my entire body.

:rainbow: Thanks.

Hope you all find the book has a little bit of everything for your interest level: a small bit of history, basics on construction and optics, basics on optimizing use with the scope, overview of the market offerings by AFOV class, then individual data tables for over 200 new and sought after used lines. But the two most fun parts of the book for me, is the chapter of essays on advice from amateurs around the world (including many CNers contributions), and the many photos from amateurs of their gear to highlight each specific eyepiece line. So lots of eye candy :) Also had a number of vendors contribute as well with photos and a lot of really nice help from TeleVue related to their eyepieces. :waytogo:

Bill, does the book expand on figures 213 and 215 from this page of telescope-optics.net?

215 yes (more designs addressed plus tables that relate ER from a formula basis, 213 no. I did not really address spots as to get an accurate spot you really need the exact prescription of the lens, and of course telescope focal ratio is vital as well.

Me? I'm not buying it!!! It seems that every time I read one of Bill's reviews, it winds up costing me a bunch of money. Can you imagine the financial grief if I had an entire book? :bawling:
