Just heard about this. Some of you may be interested; especially the reflector aficionados amongst us. The stuff is in San Antonio TX. Don't know any more about it other than what you can read here:

The seller is a well known astronomer here in San Antonio. He has published several books, and takes the best pictures of the moon that I have ever seen.

I wrote asking for the sand-cast mount for the C8, describing how I had one C8 in original condition, and would update the sand-cast mount with parts from an-antique-but-newer mount, to eliminate the slop in the R.A. drive. I then promised to use it with a scope I had rescued and had restored. Mr. Reeves was kind enough to respond to my message, even though the mount was long gone. He had been advertising the goods for a week before they were mentioned here on Cloudy Nights. I imagine, but can't confirm, that everything went quickly.

Sorry to hear that it was sold, Joe... I'd think that most of the items were spoken for in a day or so, at most.

CNers have asked about a donation box for Cloudy Nights over the years, so here you go. Donation is not required by any means, so please enjoy your stay.
