Here my last sketch of a moon detail. I like to sketch joung moon. Done yesterday via a friend of mine 10" Meade, magnification 100x. I was able to sketch only 10 minutes, just before a moon occultation by a tree...
The area is (probably  I'm not a moon specialist !) this of the crater Zeno, only 65km diameter.

Nice work. Really good for 10 minutes. It might take me 10 days!! I love a thin crescent. I hope the clouds will clear for some viewing.

Michel,

The waxing crescent Moon of Spring is a delight to sketch.
This one shows why.

Thank you Ken

...It might take me 10 days!...

Yes but after 10 days you don't have a real crescent anymore :roflmao:
Thank you Frank and André, I'm always interested by young moon or ... old moon.

I tried tonight fighting with clouds and got something that looked like a banana with eyes. The moon is much more difficult than deep sky.

Very good work.

Very well done, Michel! As far as I know you're the only watercolour artist on this forum and I must say that you have a lot of courage painting the lunar surface... Not easy at all. But you do it beautifully!
