Anyone using either, or have experience with both?

Thanks!

I'm using Webroot Secure on an XP netbook. No problems with the software or with any of the bugs that it has caught
and stopped

I also switched to Webroot about 6 months ago for my XP desktop and my wife's Win 7 laptop. So far it does a great job and does not appear to slow down either system down.

Good to know Jim, that it's working well with both systems.

I used Webroot years ago but why pay for security when Avast, Zone Alarm and Super Anti spyware are free... :waytogo:

I was just curious about them. I've been an Avast user for years.

I used Avast for 4 years until I switched to Webroot. Overall, I was pretty happy with it, but it seemed to really slow down some processes on my system. Changing to Webroot confirmed that it did. Webroot does most of its work when the operator isn't working. Webroot, at least so far, was worth paying for.

Jim; that's an interesting & important point, confirming that Avast was slowing down your computer.

Thanks!
