Hi.

Some break in the clouds. Not long enough to permit the close up. What a beautiful sun today.

Andre.

Terrific sketch, Andre. I just came in from observing the sun, and your sketch perfectly captures what I say. The sun is wonderfully active today. Lots of interesting prominences.

Glad you caught this Andre as it was really hazy here today, but at least I got my flower beds weeded!! Great sketch as always, lots of proms!

Andre,
The flare at the bottom is huge. That must have been something to see. Another great drawing. Hope you will get some good clear skies for a close up tomorrow.

Thanks Ken.

Yes, tomorrow I'll probably able to sketch. At least wednesday is supposed to be fully sunny. This huge prom was fantastic, I spent long minutes to observe it. Beautiful. Just you all of you, the border of the FOV is representing 200,000 km away from the limb of the sun. That give you a very good idea how big are this prom is more than 150,000 km high. Earth size is 7500 km diameter... !

Ken.

Next week for the astronomy day, I'll be in a public outreach with my big solar scope not far from Montreal. Man that would be nice to meet you there with Emma, I would be able to give a stunning view of the sun.

Very nice sketch André. The sun was superb yesterday, exactly as your sketch shows. We had a sun party yesterday in La Blaque, no more than 9 solar telescopes, from my 35mm to a 150mm Lunt! I cross my fingers for a nice day for you today.

Michel.

Thank you so much. Did you get a chance to observe in the Lunt 152mm ?

This morning april 15th, the sky is clear until 9am. So I'll be able to sketch it fortunately. Still beautifully active this morning.

Andre.

I am sure we would both enjoy that. Hopefully someday we can make a trip to the north. It is amazing the size of the prominence. I will be sure to tell Emma about that today. She is interested in facts like that. I certainly appreciate the Sun more and more since viewing your drawings and posts.

Hope you get a nice clear day to sketch.

Exceptional work. Your eye for detail and obvious skill are most admirable. Well done, sir.
