I am getting a color camera to complement my B&W one. I am looking at an inexpensive model for right now. It seems that the 2 best inexpensive choices seem to be the LN300 or the SCB2000. Which of these 2 cameras is best for deep sky. I have read the Lntech cameras have more noise...is this true? If there are other solutions for under $250 throw them out there. I am not quite ready for a Mallincam yet as I just dropped a lot of cash for a telescope. I am looking for a color camera to keep me busy until I can afford a nice quality camera.

My vote: SCB2000 with its factory UV/IR-cut filter removed (a DIY job.)

I settled on the SCB-2000P the PAL version since it has more sens-up time I am given to understanding. The IR filter removal seems like a cake walk.In any case I can't go wrong here for $80.

I agree, $80.00 is well worth it.
