I had a very clear and somewhat warm evening. I was able to sketch Hipparchus and Albategnius. Thanks to modern technology of The Moon Globe for Ipad I was able to find what I sketched. After Frank's excellent advice I used a less textured paper this proved to be helpful.

I used my 8 inch reflector with a 18mm eyepiece.

Very nice sketch, Ken! I like your shadowwork... so intense and "menacing". The sepia-like colours give it a vintage touch too! :D

Ken,

Beautifully done. I see you included Halley and Hind also.
This coverage is just the right amount for getting started.
Not too big and complex but easily enough to capture in one sketching session.
You must be pleased with this one.

Frank :)

Frank,
I was pleased and somewhat surprised it came out as good as it did. I used a less textured paper and tried to stay simple. I found the area very beautiful to look at.

Thank you again for your encouragement.

Ken
