Here's what the Astronomics showroom looks like today. Most of the 100+ scopes we normally have on display have been moved to make room on the showroom floor for the VIP lounge of the Norman Music Festival that's going on today and Saturday.

Our showroom/VIP lounge is where the main stage musicians will be gathering before their shows so they they can meet the corporate and individual sponsors who have ponied up $5k or more to bring the Music Festival to town.

There will be about 50,000 people in town for the festival, but only about 300 sponsors with VIP passes and their guests, including the Governor of the state, so we expect our showroom/VIP lounge will be busy with the VIPs and musicians all day long Saturday and well into Saturday night.

The Festival people will be bringing in sofas, chairs, tables, and non-perishable food and drink and setting up the lounge today; then the perishable food early tomorrow morning in time to feed the musicians and VIPs. In fact, I can hear them rolling stuff out of the elevator now. I can also hear some of the bands playing now in the bars and restaurants near us. The streets will be closed over an eight square block area tomorrow, with wall to wall people.

Our showroom will be filled up with musicians and VIPs noshing on the free food and open bar the Festival is setting up. A good time will be had by all, then midnight Saturday rolls around, our coach turns back into a pumpkin, and the VIP lounge transforms back into our telescope-filled showroom again in time to open back up on Monday.

Fred tell Gov Mary I said she needs a C14 Edge for the Mansion. I used to be her speechwriter when she was Lt. Gov and in Congress so she always listens to me . . .

Already been done. And we've moved the women and children to a place of safety, too.

We'll tell her you said she needs two, so she can turn them into binoculars.

You can't be too careful with your valuables around musicians and politicians.

Fred, if you need to store any of those scopes at my house, I'd be only too happy to help, since I'm just up the road a piece. :wron:
