I hope it's a ruby coated, 45x21 camouflage finish model!

Shipping should be very inexpensive due to all the empty container ships traveling in that direction...

Which one did you sold, and for what reason?

I sold one that I never listed on my signature below. It was a Grumman M24 Military 7x28 Roof Prism. I just didn't really have any use for it.

I guess there is no Chinese made equivalent...

There will be, just as soon as they can copy it and get it manufactured. Keep your eyes open.

It never even occurred to me that I could be playing a role in the reverse-engineering of yet another piece of the US Government arsenal... :p

A survey from about 3 years ago when I was traveling to China on business a great deal showed the Chinese consumers (at the time) valued US brands much more than domestic brands.

Maybe the same way many US residents seem to value German and Japanese brands over domestic brands.

I particular, the women go crazy over particular major brand purses.

I think that it is not at all uncommon to find a growing number of upper middle class Chinese buyers that are developing tastes for more esoteric goods. It is perhaps something of a Status Symbol to have unusual US made merchandise.

Status.. An ill that knows no international boundary.
