I thought I would share a few of my modest attempts from years past in anticipation of getting some new film images this summer. All of these were taken with a Yashica FX-D 35mm SLR with lenses as indicated. Since many of the images are from years ago I may need to guess on the exposure data, but for the most part the shots were typically piggybacked or just taken on a tripod un-tracked.

The first are of Comet Hyakutake from March 27, 1996. These were shot on Kodak Gold 1000 and were unguided. The lens was a cheap Vivitar 35mm and I was shooting at f/2.8 for about 30 seconds each I would guess.

One taken a couple of years later with the same cheap lens but piggybacked for about 10 minutes or so. Film was Fuji 400 Any advice on how to process this into a more pleasing image would be wonderful!

And one of Orion's Belt and nebula. This was taken with a 135 mm Yashica lens working at f/4 also on Fuji 400 if I remember correctly. Probably about a 5 minute exposure.

Here is one of the November 2003 Lunar Eclipse. A multiple exposure on medium format E100. This was just done in my back yard and I tried to time the exposures 5 minutes apart, but you can see a point in mid eclipse when the phone rang and I went inside to answer it and missed one of the intervals. Funny what you remember about certain shots.
