Just received. Great service and currently on sale.

Plan to use it with my AT102F11 and my Vixen VMC200L

Of course the clear skies of easier in the day have given way to clouds.

Enjoy your mount. They do like the heavier scopes.

Here is mine holding up a 6" refractor.

Nice tripod. That is definitely the structure I want to duck under when the next earthquake hits.

Hope you enjoy it!!! Seems like a great mount, as others have attested in the past...

From whom did you buy it? From Canadian Telescopes in Canada direct, or from a US dealer? I've been considering one of these myself, but have generally run into the snag of no US suppliers... I finally found a US supplier, just as they quit carrying them... Arghhh!

I ordered directly from Canadian Tekescopes. Great service. Was shipped quickly via Canada post and then USPS. On sale right now at $260 Canadian$ and you do have to pay shipping to the states.

Like you I was unable to find a US dealer

Congrats on the new mount! I got my Duo-T from Woodland Hills when they were selling them and I have it on a CG5 2" tubular steel tripod with an Orion extension pillar. The sucker is heavy but it is rock solid even with two decent sized scopes on it.

Clear Skies,

Steve

If you don't mind, how much was the shipping? Were there any other charges?

Thanks!

Mine is 10mm x 1.5, the same as a CG5.

I was charged $35 Canadian$ shipping. I understand that one person here on CN was charged $55 USD by US customs but apparently I was not.

I inquired about the shipping to AZ from Canadian Tele. I was also quoted $35, they didn't mention a customs charge.
Below is a customs charge I looked up. Based on $259 purchase price.
$35 shipping plus up to $90 for all the other fees. Wow. Thats 1/2 the cost of the Duo-T, and it seems hit or miss if people are actually charged that

Product Price: $259.00

Shipping: $ 35.00
Duty: $15
Tax: $18.50
Conversion: $7.35
Brokerage: $41.26
Dispursement: 6.20
